Our journey began at one of America’s most cherished symbols of freedom: the Liberty Bell. As we approached the historic site, a sense of wonder and curiosity came over us. The bell, cracked and weathered over time, has witnessed centuries of American history, from the Revolutionary War to the Civil Rights Movement.
One fact that we found interesting was how 19th century abolitionists adopted the bell as a symbol of their fight against slavery, connecting its inscription "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants Thereof" to their cause. Knowing this, we spent time reflecting more on its significance and imagining the countless stories it could tell. Next, we headed to the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art, where we couldn’t resist the urge to channel our inner Rocky Balboa. We climbed the steps, one by one, feeling the energy of the city and the spirit of the legendary boxer.
As we reached the top, we got a great view of surrounding Philly and then proceeded back down the steps to pose triumphantly beside the Rocky statue, capturing the moment for posterity. No trip to Philadelphia is complete without indulging in its culinary delights. We made our way to Jim’s South Street, a legendary cheese steak joint that has been satisfying hungry Philadelphians for decades. The smell of sizzling meat and melted cheese hits our senses immediately upon stepping inside and had us chomping at the bit for a taste. When our cheese steaks finally arrived, we savored every bite, the perfect blend of flavors and textures.

To round out our day, we ventured to the Philadelphia Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in the United States.
